SPOILER *** Oliver's wife
What happened with his wife? I didn't get that.
shareNo, he had reported her missing and went on TV to appeal for her return, but if you look at the painting behind him, it no longer looks like Lec, it looks like him, so he was already possessed by the man in the painting. Also, you see a dead body when he goes to get his paints when the painting is stolen by the lapdancer.
shareDoh! I saw the dead arm in the window but didn't put it together. So, one last thing then Johnny, why didn't Blanche just keep the painting for herself?
shareBecause she loved Lec, who was the man in (from) the painting. She didn't want to BE him. So, she sent it to Elizabeth, so she got Lec back as the man in the panting took her over. I guess she didn't fancy having Lec in Oliver's body, but rather in the body of her big breasted girlfriend. Make sense?
sharePerfectly! Thanks. How many times have you seen it?
shareTwice. Once at a screening in 2006, then recently I saw a pre release DVD as a friend of mine worked on the the marketing (hence the invite to the screening) and she has a copy. I have ordered it though, so I don't feel too bad about it!
Are there pirate copies of this aleady? It's not out until Feb.
Don't call the cops! It wasn't a pirate. My mate works for a mag and they got a screener, so we saw it yesterday. He missed the wife bit as well so his review should be a laugh.
