Numbers looked fine til I saw the price tag...70MILLION!!!

You could have called it Steph in Whacko World and people would have gone and seen it. No one cares about your fcking yellow brick road. Also, the animation looked like a little kid drew it. You could have produced this piece of *beep* for 2 million and slapped it onto a dvd.

Exactly! I am baffled where the $70 million was spent, it certainly was not the animation; which looked completely direct-to-dvd. And it definitely was not on advertising/marketing, because myself and practically everyone I know, did not even hear about this movie until the week before it was released.

Judging by the incredibly poor box office, I imagine many people are getting fired as we speak.

Oh, it gets better then people being fired. The SEC and several state attonery generals are looking into possible fraud on the part of Summertime, the company who made the film.
Apparenlyt the money was raised from people who normally don't invest in the film industry. Some of it is sad..people actuall took money out of their retirement funds to put in this film. The producers knew nobody who invested in films on a professional basis would put a dime in this stinker. Several of the officials of Summertime have been in trouble before for pushing dubious get rich quick schemes. It sounds like something out of Mel Brook's "The Producers".

Actually the producers might have sypohned off a lot of the money into their own pockets. That is why several States are investigating the possiblity of fraud by the producers of this drek.
