No thanks!

I did not particularly enjoy this movie. In fact, I did not watch it all. I don't usually shut a movie down before finishing, but I just could not go on to the end with this one. Maybe these guys get a real good response in France. The main actors have busy filmographies, but I just felt like I could not get behind the acting in this film. The lead cop guy almost seemed...well, maybe he's a big star in France and all but. Anyways. The movie was real dark and they tried real hard to make it look modern and hip, and there were a lot of really capturing art film images. The photography gets an A+++ I was, however, particularly tickled by the informant's acting. I found that to be entertaining! They should sprinkle that guy all across their different movies, if they haven't already.

i agree with you. i watched this last night because i had been very impressed with albert dupontel's performance in Paris and I wanted to see more of him. Oh my, what a waste of a very talented actor. he literally has six lines of dialogue and other than those lines, he basically just scowls through the whole film.bad disconnected screenplay; terrible dialogue and nonsensical storyline. It felt as if the producer/director decided on a whim," hmmm, The Matrix made a lot of money; let's see if we can do one like that. we've not had ANY experience making a film like that, but neither have any of our staff, and, in fact, we couldn't get any of the staff we wanted anyway, except the fight coreographer, so let's just try this....." I can't imagine this was a fun shoot for anyone concerned.

Maybe the funding was pulled or the director had a breakdown 7/8 of the way through, because at that point,a previously 'action-packed' sequence suddenly goes black and a non sensical film ending is tacked on. sigh. nobody and nothing connects in this film. actually, now that i think of it, there is no reason to see this film at all. They should be ashamed of themselves.

p.s.HA HA! I just looked up the writer/director and this WAS his first feature film!! He's not shown to be making another, so SOMEBODY in financing got smart.
