Take That Episode!

Just thought I'd make this thread for everyone who's watching tomorrow night while Take That is being ripped to s**t!

I just hope this series is as good as the last, such an amazingly brilliant and funny series and to me Take That seems to be the perfect bunch to take the total piss out of! Should be bloody hilarious anyway.

Yeah that was funny. I like the bit though when 'Robbie' was like - "How d'you like that, Gary! 80 million quid!....And a pie!" That was hillarious.

I got off everytime you got on to me. Was it wrong to go along with insanity?

Kevin Bishop was brilliant as Robbie. I hadn't realised how much he looked like him before but he really did.

Funny!

The funniest bit though just has to be Robbie meeting an insipid Guy Chambers while he's in rehab ... Guy sat at the piano composing a song:

Rob "That's nice, what's it called?"
Guy "I call it Angels"
Rob "I know ... let's call it Angels"
Guy "Ok then, that's gotta be worth 50% of the royalties"

Also loved the bit where Rob's trying in vain to get a tune out of the piano "This piano doesn't work. Oh well I'll get another one tomorrow"

But I especially liked the bits where Gaz and Robbie are swearing at each other.

I thought the NMS character could have been a bit funnier though ... that was a really wasted opportunity.

I love how Howard couldnt actually speak, and he sounded & acted like Chewie from star wars

and Gary & robbies fight over a pie!

ha they are so mean but i love it!

if you go with your instinct and reverse it, I think we have something happening

I'm a Take That fan and I thought this was just hilarious. However - read the true story - the truth is even stranger than fiction.

Um, am I the only one who didn't like this episode? I absolutely loved the previous series, but I thought the Take That episode was pretty average

I've watched my recording of it now and to be honest - it ain't that funny (although parts were laugh-out-loud) but the Nigel Martin Smith character just wasn't funny at all.

Besides - the true story of Take That is so much funnier (read Gary Barlow's book - even if you just borrow it from the library) his stories are killers! I do think the four present Take That lads will have laughed at it but I'm not sure what Rob would think - he's ever so touchy these days and can't seem to stand any criticism (but the bit with him and Guy Chambers was one of those laugh-out-loud moments from it).

i aggree, i think Rob probably wouldnt have like the episode,

You know the difference between you and me? I make this look good

I thought it was very funny at times.

I think the Take That episode is probably my favourite, there's some really great stuff in it. Kevin Bishop doing Robbie Williams doing Victor Meldrew was hilarious, and the argument between Gary and Robbie after the rapping was great too, "What do you think Ivor Novello award for best songwriter for this year? 'It were w@nk, Gary'".

What's that? You just called me a bastard didn't you!

reply

I thought Kevins accent was a great take on a Stoke accent!! Loved it... and the Jonathon Wilkes duet bit was great.. ha ha xx

'Crazy? Insane? Insane? Crazy?!'

reply

Absolutely loved this episode.

The funny thing is that at the end of the episode it was taking the piss out of Gary Barlow saying that he was surely going to win another Ivor Novello award, and then he actually did win the songwriting award for "Shine".
