I see that one writer of the show commented sadly about it on his blog at the time.

And I posted this below earlier on Angela Gots's page on IMDB. It may interest the Danielle fans here, Danielle seems to have been a fun part.

Well, what a surprise the story of Angela in this fully-filmed but canceled show turns out to be.
Her page on IMDB wrongly lists her down around 25th on the cast list (same with Theresa Russell) and as having appeared in only 3 episodes (same with TR again).
So as there seemed nothing much out there - no DVDs and nothing to download - I thought, okay, maybe no big deal.
But as Hunter 15 here said Angela looked just great in American Heiress, I went back to Google and searched all over again, and came across this time the many YouTubes.
Turns out American Heiress is part of a discontinued 65-episodes genre (telenovelas) to be shown 5 days or nights a week for 13 weeks. They also included Fashion House, Desire, Wicked Wicked Games, Watch Over Me, and Saints and Sinners.
They were all originally intended as daytime soaps on New York's channels 9 (MyNetwork) and 11 (the CW) and the equivalent American stations elsewhere.
But both channels/networks (which are actually broadcast, not just on cable) were scrambling for audience share, and the telenovelas were badly marketed and timed. So American Heiress was yanked after just a couple of episodes aired. And that was that.
Fans on the boards for those telenovelas here on IMDB say they would have made much more interesting daytime soaps than "the current boring predictable ones on TV now".
And what of Angela? Well, I havent finished looking, but not only did Angela look drop-dead gorgeous, and (as you'd expect) act just about everyone else right off the screen.
Also she was billed as among the top 8 leads in the show, as one of the permanent stars (a first I think for her?).
And she seems to have been in just about every one of the 65 episodes - at a guess, in 50 at least. That would make American Heiress a majority of all her acting work and, I guess, a majority of all her paychecks.
The YouTubes are mostly in Bulgarian - as Bulgarian TV is relatively low-budget a "cheap" but very good show like this would have been a real godsend for them.
Does anyone know a place where we can find the whole Heiress story-line in English? And is the show still around anywhere in Europe? Did anyone actually tape it?
