Is It Just Me or Is It Hard

Personally this game is somewhat hard. gameplay isnt that hard but going up in ranks and getting unlocks sure takes a while does anyone agree??

reply

Not really hard... just takes a lot of commitment. I personally only play this game once every two weeks, but I am a fairly good player so I get unlocks pretty quickly. Practice makes perfect I guess.

I dont think its too hard I dont play much and im already a Brigadier General (Highest Rank)
I ranked up pretty quickly though because I went for the Awards.

If you think its hard to rank up in this one try playing BattleField 2 lol.

Agreed, ranking up in BF2 was very hard, but the special "career points" vs "in-game points" makes quite a difference. For instance, getting a "gold" badge (30 kills in a single round) for any of the kits (Recon, Assult, Support or Engineer) nets you 1000 career points! (Your in game score however would be only 30 + any teamwork points - any TK's or "Team Dammage".

In BF2 there was no career points system and only game points went toward your rank. And there are fewer ranks and unlocks and the ranks take a LOT more points to get to.

Not really that hard. Play Titan mode. There are double points for practicly anything you do. If you neutralise and then capture a silo-2 points. Kill someone on your or your enemy's titan you also get two points. Plus your total points are doubled if you win. Also, try your luck at going for commander as you get a hell of a lot of bonus points like that. In one conquest round I got over 200 points due to commander bonus.

Dood, gameplays really easy... You could be a complete n00b and still gain highest rank. It's just about giving time and effort. You still get some pretty good points even if you lose. I think the game could use a few more awards though... I get too many small kill streaks....

Not as much as Battlefield 2, compared to that this is actually a breeze.

Yes, but it's suppose to be that way.

I know this post is ten years old, but I'm going to respond anyway; when you first start out you don't have any of the unlocks or bonuses. You need to be quick on the trigger and support those who have more abilities than you. That's how you gain Experience points and advance in rank.

I usually did support and threw down ammo crates for anyone who needed them, and set up turrets and shields once I got the ability.

I'm just sorry that EA shut this game down, because it was far superior to their regular BF series.

It's short comings were that if used a fogged out graphics' engine, the maps were confining, and it required Exp for unlocks, when I always felt that all gear out to have been available, with weight being the limiting factor. Also the tanks had limited range.

If this game or a sequel ever get fired up again, then with a few tweaks it'll be one rocking experience.
