There is a novel by Richard Laymon called "In The Dark". The premise is very similar to this film, though the story and situations are different.

This is the big problem with coming up with an idea. Sometimes your idea looks similar to another, and you might be called a thief. Maybe Eagle Eye was a rip-off, or maybe it wasn't. I think I have about as much proof as you do.

Before our grandparents' grandparents were born, sharing ideas was child's play compared to what it is now, and yet two people across the ocean from each other could come up with similar ideas. Now it's so easy to think people are thieves because technology makes us close.

Besides, if Eagle Eye was really a stolen idea, wouldn't it have been as good as this movie? :)

no.1 same idea highly unlikely
no.2 saw movies were out first
no.3 MANHUNT the video game (creators of GTA) came up with this sort of idea YEARS ago.
