How it should be made for a new series?

What he should have done is explain that he is in hospitable areas and will be showing you techniques to survive in this harsh landscape, have him appear at certain locations and explain how he would deal with the situation.
Not however claim he is getting from point A to B within 2 days When in actual fact it takes a week to film and he does not sleep in a snow cave. Instead staying in fancy cabin lodges and hotels eating a peppered steak.

Surely the best way to go about making a new series if he does would be to do this. He gets another survival expert or a celebrity, both get dropped off in a remote place with all the equipment they need to survive. He tells the viewers that he has a camera crew and health saftey personel who will only be used if they are in critical danger. They will plan a route to get to the finish line that does not involve anything too risky but however is still a challenge and shows survival skills. What I mean is if they get into trouble and need rescuing they can do so. As in not halfway across a gorge on a piece of rope obviously staged. They also sleep in their tents or shelters made and if they are in life threatening situations they can abandon the shelters. However must explain to the viewers that is what happened, they slept in cars for instance because of polar bears etc. The same goes for food too if they can not find food explain that they ate with the camera crew.
If the camera crew do not get the shots needed thats their fault they should hire better cameramen. Fair enough you ask them to slow down a bit every now and then. Give them Go Pro and handheld cameras to film the shots the crew can not get.
They then look like they are semi surving not filming a faked how to guide for The Scouts.
