This movie is so wrong.

I felt like 99% of the story in this movie is fiction. Even the armors they were wearing is wrong too. The action is okay to watch at some point, but other than that, thumb down for this movie.

I totally agree raymondme. The director had such bad contrasting beliefs of who the real historical characters were!
This movie is shoving dirt into the kingdom of Shu.
portraying the people of Shu as cowards and fearful mice The kingdom of Shu was led by Liu Bei, he has family linaege to the Han emperor, Liu Bei swored oath with Zhang fei and Guan yu to restore the Han empire and to eliminate the traitors to the Han (Cao Cao)

In the movie I cannot stress enough that it showed Zhao yun was a wuss afraid to die.
Guan yu and Zhang fei fearful of enemies.
The infamous Zhuge liang as a idiot.

In the past, Kongmin (given name of Zhuge) battled long and hard for his master i.e. Liu Bei and for the kingdom of Shu.

In untainted history, death was at the bottom of the thought list for the generals.

I strongly suggest anyone who wants to know more about the history of 3 kingdoms. go watch john woos red cliff. Cleverly packaged into a two part movie. Or watch the 1995 tv series rotk

Just watched this movie on a plane...

didn't think it was a good movie.

Not following the novel/history faithfully would be okay IMO if the movie was decent as a standalone fictional movie. The Red Cliff for example, also deviated from the novel/history a lot, but the action scenes were decent and the story was okay on it's own, if you are able to overlook the inaccuracies.

But for this movie, it wouldn't make much sense to people that have no knowledge of the novel/history (skipping ahead in time very quickly, characters introduced mostly not doing anything at all for people to even know their significance), but it is way too inaccurate for people that do have knowledge of the novel/history.

I don't really mind if the make a fictional movie about Zhao Yun, but it'd be better if they made the story more fluid as a standalone story.

Can anyone here watch a movie for watching a movie without having to bash it while trying to sound like you was there in those times and trying to make belief like you know what the hell youre talking bout.
Me, I dont have that problem, if i watch a movie like this I dont give a crap if the costumes are wrong, wich they werent, nice costumes. But of course for you who was there in that time, theyre wrong i guess.
Its a good asian medieval wartheme movie, pitty you who cant see it because it didnt happen like it happen, you lost an hour and a half watching a dumb movie, I had fun, look that one up, fun, and learn to have it.
