What do you guys think? She plays a Chinese warrior princess sort. There was alot of controversy because she isn't Chinese at all (and is half white).

well she was in MI:3, anyways what's the story behind Cao Ying?
shareI have no problem with her being in it (I like her actually) but alot of the Chinese do have a problem with it (I read in newspaper). They said that not only is she not a Chinese, but she is half white, which doesn't make her character very believable (and something about it being a Chinese history based -though loosely based- movie so they got the cast wrong). So the problem is more to do with her being a Eurasian, rather than an Asian Asian (I'm guessing).
Her role is Cao Cao's daughter and she has a love affair with Andy Lau (so she's going to be a warrior and sexy).

Half-Vietnamese/Half-White =/= Chinese
If they really intend on casting a non-Chinese, at least stick to someone who's NOT half-white!
