Aoi Miyazaki

What happened to Aoi Miyazaki? Why didn't she reprise her role of Nana Komatsu?

reply

this link (http://nana-nana.net/news76.html) should help give out any/all reasons for miyazaki's departure.

the most popular reason was because miyazaki's reps were worried about the bedroom scenes in NANA 2 that would clash with her clean, pure image as a celebrity/popular idol.

which is SUCH A LAME REASON AUGHH and i can't believe that's why she left, she was so perfect as hachi, and basically i have a huge problem with yui ichikawa because she just doesn't look right. and also her face looks sort of scaryfake, like a shiny plastic mask. not to be mean, but SERIOUSLY.

sighhh.

This is going to sound absolutely terrible - but she looks fine for me as long as she doesn't smile... something about her smile is just sort of creepy or off or something.

The only reason why I believe in Angels is Aoi Miyazaki. In Nana she portraits the cutest character ever on screen! I almost cried for just looking at her.

what the.....??!!?!

Yui Ichikawa? bad smile??
are you out of your mind?

she's GORGEOUS.

i agree, i wanted to have Aoi Miyazaki in the sequel too, but i applaud Aoi's reason for not taking the role. She has values that didn't quite fit in with making love in front of the camera. To be honest, I agree with her! not for 10 million pounds would i make love on camera, infront of the whole world.

But, I also applaud Yui for her more open-minded approach. She used to be a gravure-model, and are used to showing things on cam.

Who i like the most of Aoi and Yui is a close call, as both are extremely beautiful!

Aoi is more the cute, innocent, angel-like creature, while Yui is also super-cute, with the greatest eyes, but with a touch of sexy-ness in her.

For me, it's like Im forced to choose between Pepsi and Coca Cola, both are great, but still different enough.

I agree with you on that. The actress that portrays Hachi in the second film just does not look the part. Her cheeks look disproportionate to the rest of her face and those shiny black contacts make her hard to look at, imo.

reply

I really like Aoi. Perfect face, personality and attitude portrail of Hachi. Yui looks...too...ew!! Creepy!

reply

Yui Ichikawa looks pretty cute to me .. but I just hate movies that change the characters!! so unprofessional ... also, if the agents worry about destroying Aoi's "innocent" image ... I think this damages even more ... it's such a letdown to the fans plus IF she took the role, people would probably admire her more for taking the challenge.

though I think Shin's replacement was pretty well done. Kanata is much more like the Shin in the manga + anime. not that I didn't like the original guy (L from Death Note) ... he just wasn't "cute" enough .. he looked too "bad ass" in the first Nana movie.

reply

Aww, kanata was too cute in NANA 2. Although I think he was a bit young. But either way, I loved him.

And what I don't get, is why Aoi wouldn't want to do any "bedroom" scenes, when clearly there weren't any. I just watched it last night, and there weren't any sex scenes or anything! What is up with that?!!

reply

I didnt even know anything about the switch. I really liked Aoi in the first NANA. I looked forward for her being in NANA 2 only to be dissapointed to see Yui. I dunno it didnt feel the same.

well they already told you why... but i dont think aoi miyazaki was that perfect as hachi tbh. she was way more likable and cuter than ai yazawa's hachi, who was kinda self-absorbed and annoying. i think aoi fits the role of miwako sakurada from parakiss better.
