Funniest part, hands down. *spoiler*

The scene where the deaf children fall into the mine shaft. Obviously in real life, it would not be funny at all. But the way it was setup and played out was so over-the-top and cliché, I couldn't help but laugh. It was like a bad abc afterschool special. If the director was going for something dramatic with that scene, he failed.

they had foreign anchor people from different
parts of the world comment in different
languages (jap. Arabic, Austrlian etc)on the scene of deaf children bus fall into the ditch and then rescued
I WONDER why that scene was cut? OR is it there?

reply

The part I laughed the most was when they started playing "I will follow him" and she was jumping up and down and running to Steve while he looks horrified XD

reply

the scenes where she's jumping up and down...so bad. all that she's missing is the helmet.

I laughed the most at this too!

And if they told you wolverines made good housepets, would you believe them?-Del Griffith

reply

...fail.

reply

Yes, it was funny, but I saw it coming, and the laughter was more of a "I can't believe they did that" kind of thing. I thought the horse scene was funnier.

reply

It was a comedy. I'm sure it wasn't meant to be dramatic.

Over-the-top is what they were going for.

Oh, I agree. I laughed out loud and then realized it was supposed to be dramatic. But my emotions were tuned down and I was barely awake. That movie was horrible.

reply

I thought it was so funny when he kicked her out of the car and was all "Goodbye Crazy Person" to himself as he drove away! Little did he know, she was coming back. lol! When she fell into the mine shaft, it was funny but I could also totally tell they were going to do that.

reply

I just saw this tonight with my girlfriend andthe only real line that stuck with me was, "No, THIS is the sign for tears -makes hand motion-. THIS -makes slightly different hand motion- is the sign for, 'The horse is up and walking around... He's... Galloping.'"

reply

You realised wrong.

It was a comedy, none of the scenes were supposed to be dramatic, especially that one.

I have no idea why but that part when they're at the hospital, and Steve is looking through the camera then sees her boots and she gets excited and her knees come together because of her sheer excitement. To me that was hilarious, the guy just had to have been sitting there like...*beep*.

reply

I thought the bit after the end credits was hilarious (the other reporter jumpin down the hole)

reply

Oh come on it was so lame "i'll be in the news"

Vazquez is not funny, and the omedy rythm is lost by then.

It's funnier when Hartman Hughes jumps and the hose falls down too.

reply

There are many parts that were hilarious to me.
One of the funniest ones is when they see Mary after the tornado, and she is running after the CCN truck and Steve is screaming she has a machete, and ths is going to cut off his feet and make him eat his legs. Fast forward, then the Asian guy tells them to shut up and tells reporter Haden Church to stop tanning because he looks like a cheez nip, he looks like an orange with lips, he looks like a wrinkled peach. Ahhhh it had me rolling.

reply

It's a bit obvious and slapstick, but I laughed the hardest when Mary accidentally pulled the cord attached to the camera and yanked Steve from the platform down to the ground.

That cracked me up.
