Frank

Anyone think it was out of character for him to let the wetsuit thing slice? He put his foot down for everything else.

reply

Yes, but Frank was also choosing his battles, you know? Crazy boss' crazy girlfriend wants to do something crazy --- well, he can say he warned them...

reply

^I think that's the best explanation. To be honest, I don't think he had high expectations of any of them making it out alive anyway, least of all someone who was inevitably going to panic and lower everybody else's chances.

I'm not suggesting he was trying to kill her off here, but I am saying he thought her odds of survival were less than slim to begin with. And if she's almost certain to die due to stupidity, better to let her go in a way that won't get others killed. It was her stupid decision. And he made it crystal clear what his expert opinion on the matter was.

reply

Yeah. Frank had limited time to gather supplies and get through to try and find a way out. What did they say? Two hours until the camp room was completely flooded? Something like that. He's not going to spend thirty minutes to an hour in a screaming match with an idiot. If she wants to go hypothermic, that's her business, I guess.
