review biased?

The esplatter review for SHUTTLE made it seem like it was THE SHINING meets THE SIXTH sense meets THE EXORCIST. If it's as good as this, why only being released in 5 theaters for a total of 20 days?

It's ok. Not great. But the review really went out of its way to gush. I mean, it used the phrase "shoestring budget". $5.4 million is not a shoestring. BLAIR WITCH was $50k. SAW was $1million. There are a ton of films with budgets far less than this. Hell, even the new FRIDAY THE 13TH was only $16 million (or 3 times SHUTTLE).

Certainly $5.4 million is not a lot. But it's hardly a shoestring. If the reviewer had left the budget out of it, maybe he would have more credibility. I don't want to make it seem like I am trashing the film. I'm not. I want the indy film to make it. Just commenting on the review.
