I am so sick of these books/movies/television shows in which privileged white women act as if they have the most serious problems in the world. "What's wrong with my life! I must travel around the world like everyone else can when they have a problem." You know what her problem was?! She had CRAPPY taste in men. That and deciding they finally want a family when they are in the 30's and wondering why they have fertility problems. There! I just saved her a few thousand dollars. And this is not me being racist, it's being observant.

Well sure but were the men really that bad? Her husband , then her boyfriends; they all seemed more stable and loyal, even more loving than she was.

What if this is as good as it gets?

It looked to me like Liz kept hooking up with the same boy-man: the husband, the actor boyfriend and the naked guy were all similar. They were all bossy and liked to play around.

If Liz really was self-aware, she'd look into that part of her life.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

ah those bad white women..

African women on the other hand already have 5-10 kids by the time they're 25. Not that they have a saying in the matter, they african women, ruled by their primitive husbands. having less kids is not a sign of weakness in these times of overpopulation. (which is especially an African problem..and i'm not even talking about aids..)

You're right, what a bunch of idiots for not rushing into having children.
I agree, it would have been so much better to have babies in their early 20s, you know, when they've only just come out of college, and arent finacially secure yet. Only just secured themselves a proper full time job, haven't even recieved their first pay check, have no place to live, no savings etc. Heck they probably haven't even known their spouse long enough. But yeah, the best thing to do in a situation like that is have children so that they can spend the next 18 years of their lives struggling to even keep a roof over their heads let alone feed and clothes them and buy them toys and take them places. And pay for their education and medical. And save for their futures too.

Yes zepfan, since she has the money to travel, she MUST be spoiled and selfish if she's not happy. You did say "they" when you mentioned them deciding they finally wanted kids, so you do acknowledge that the problems in the marriage were not just hers. She was going through a bad depression, and that accounts for a lot of her actions.
