OK it's not one, but all those movies are great and I trully recomend theme

No, this movie is *beep* and the poll is *beep* I mean, clearly. You cannot substitute sculpture for good storytelling. The script, at least the shooting script, is terrible, and the actors are not doing a very good role of bringing life to the wooden characters (not that it would be easy).
Nobody in Poland seriously thinks this movie is great. It's opponents say it's *beep* it' fans say "it's not the greatest film but it's an important historical..." etc. etc.
I've seen two movies by Wadja. I know I wouldn't trade Wojciech Has' The Hourglass Sanatorium for either.
This world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel.
That's ok. And you have to remember that I dont' think Mr. Wajda gives a damn if he or anybody else thinks Katyn is the best film or best Polish film of all time. Frankly, all he cared about is that he got out the truth about what happened to some Polish officers (including his father) in World War II who found themselves in a forest after a train ride. Really the Poles were no doubt made schizophrenic by the Germans and Russians at the time with their obfuscation and lies of what happened. "Katyn" is what happens when Wajda gets off the couch....
