Cover art is brilliant, the movie is dreadfully boring

Not even the great Sid Haig could save this one. This movie was so boring and the plot was absolutely lame. Although I liked the overall concept of the movie, it just could've been written better. I will not spoil it for anyone. As my subject says, the cover art (the whole box art in total) was well done. This is another example of why not to judge a book by its cover.

Michael Fifer (sp) has to stop writing things in 2 day spurts. I just saw "Ed Gein, the Butcher of Plainfield", also directed by him, and while Kane Hodder is actually very good as Ed Gein, the movie itself is a mess. I think if this guy took some more time and care with his work, the movies he puts out would be the better for it. If he put as much effort into constructing plots as he does with cover art, he'd have some good work to show for it.

That is really too bad - I had high hopes for the Gein film. Sorry to hear it.

Totally agree - take a little more time to write a screenplay, it's not a marathon.

But I *did* like A Dead Calling for the most part. Sid and Leslie were phenomenal as a couple.
