SPOILER Bill Mosely

Bill Mosely plays Chief Murken. However, for the life of me, I could have sworn that was him playing the masked intruder in the beginning that kills the fiance. So much so that before we were introduced to Chief Murken, and when I saw the masked intruder's eyes, I said to my wife, "That's Bill Mosely."

So when Bill Mosely was introduced as Chief Murken, I was expecting some sort of plot development that would show he was the intruder. But it never happened.

I can't find a separate entry on IMDB's cast list for who played the intruder.

Does anyone know if it was Bill Mosely? And if it was, was it supposed to be the same character as Chief Murken, or a different character? If it was the same character, what happened to its inclusion in the story as to why Chief Murken would do such a thing?

Didn't see anything on the cast list but it has happened where an actor plays two roles in the same movie and not siblings but entirely different characters

I *assumed* the intruder was Frank Sullivan but didn't go back to check. I didn't know Bill Mosely so I didn't catch the eyes. The intruder was a plot point that was not cleaned up well which is why I came here.
