Ending?

I dosed off at the last ten minutes of this movie. Can someone tell how it ended? Did Peter make peace with life in prison, or did he continue with his wish for death?

reply

After he was convicted (life without parole), he was not shown again. It would appear that he is accepting his fate for now (according to his mom).

His mom visits the police station where she works, but tells them she is not ready to come back yet.

When she goes home, she finds that the other mother is moving. They have a brief, awkward conversation. Jamie McDowell says she can call her when she gets to wherever it is she is going. The other woman said that she will.

Hope this helps.

He was charged with life in prison and they don't really say anything else about him. KEllys mom decided to move somewhere else. They didn't really resolve anything.

It is amazing how some people go to prison for life or whatever and someone else committing the same kind of crime gets out in a few years if jail time at all, mostly a slap on the wrist. What state was this in?

reply

The movie was filmed in the "state" of Canada, but on another thread, it says the true story was from the state of Florida.
