Why the outrage over Bullocks Oscar win?

I feel like I'm in the minority of people that think she deserved to win. I always love it when more lowkey performances like Bullocks win. She didn't have to scream and cry the entire film, get naked, talk in a British accent, or anything like that. She may have won for a more ordinary role, but those rarely ever win these days. Similar reason I'm glad Jennifer Lawrence won her Oscar, even if Lawrence did cry hysterics at only a few points in the film. So I don't understand the hate over Bullocks win.

you know that bulloks is a bad word in british accent? guess like bull crap.

That's bollocks. Not bullocks.

Wrong, the English expression is bollocks.

I agree with you. Especially this part >>

Bullock's performance was genuine, and not trying to impress. Those performances are always under appreciated, because these days you have to drastically lose/gain weight, wear a lot of make-up/costumes, be in a controversial film, and go overboard with a range of emotions if you want to impress most people. Bullock was subtle, and convincing. I'm glad she won. I don't think she was Oscar nom worthy in Gravity though..

Where is the outrage? I didn't hear any

The film is horrible, but she's easily the best thing about it. She made Leigh Anne much more likable than she deserved to be. I don't think she deserved to win over Gabourey Sidibe, but it was a decent performance, and better than some of the crappy performances that have won recently.

@mattboy61992.I didn't notice a lot of outrage over her win. However in my OPINION Meryl Streep gave the best performance that year.Fortunately for Sandra it isn't up to me to decide the winner. If it was there's no way she would've the oscar that year.Instead Meryl Streep would've been awarded the oscar for best actress in a leading role.So I will say it again, good thing for Sandra I have no control over who will win a oscar.

This entire film was basically a "made for TV" movie. Nothing about this movie should have been nominated for anything, except maybe the Razzies.

I do understand how some people would like it, taking into consideration the mental abilities of those people.

I'm far from outraged, but the fact Sandra Bullock won an Oscar for this is just a clear sign why the Academy Awards mean nothing.

Sandra's performance was poor in this movie. It's not entirely her fault - seeing how others struggle in the movie too - nor she was expected to perform very well in this role due to her lack of experience in serious movies. She was in a few, but she's much more a comedy actress and she pulled off much better performances before in comedies. Of course those roles are not Oscar worthy, but this one neither. It's just the genre and the subject that is an Oscar bait, not the quality.

This won't matter to racist, fact hating, leftists who heckin' LOVE black culture! DEY CAN DO WRONG! The poor simple black boy didn't know! He didn't know! It's in his 2011 book, but he didn't know!

BOTTOM LINE! They're white! They're successful! THEY'RE CONSERVATIVES! They must be racist and crooks! The black or liberal mind can't comprehend any other way. No black man would extort people for money even though are known for their amazing financial skills and accruement.
