GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS SHOW ? LETS START A LIST HERE !

1. Got me interested in seeing the UK original, (Viva) Blackpool. I put on the 1st episode after breakfast, it kicked Viva Laughlin's ass, and I ended up marathoning it. Result = entertaining Sunday afternoon!

2. Gives me an opportunity to go all tangential and recommend one of my favorite little-known series, Funland (2005), another one-season mystery of offbeat style set in Blackpool. It was excellently dark and twisted... imagine something along the lines of a BBC-David Lynch lovechild.

See, I found TWO good things about VL. ;-)

Mmmmmmmadchen Amick.

reply

Yeah, definitely Madchen. Mmmmmmmmmmmm, indeed. Too bad she can't land on a show that lasts. She had a great role as an assassin on Kidnapped last year, and that of course didn't last a whole season. Now this.

3. THe guy won playing that wheel game. I lost when i played roullett.

It's been cancelled. That's a good thing right?

reply

No it is not a good thing this show was cancelled!!

I was invested I liked the characters and the storylines. I was even starting to find the singing and dancing amusing. I want to see the rest!

Not necessarily, we don't know how much worse it was going to become.

I think the only good thing about it was Madchen Amick.Hopefully she finds a better show or gets into some really good movies.

Yeah, the only good thing about this mess? It's off the air!

The CBS HD channel on Directv was down in my area during the airing of this show on Sunday so I saved the horror of watching the second (and thankfully last) episode of this train wreck

reply

Eric Winters. He's the only reason I'd watch Days of Our Lives. Also, I realized there are people in Laughlin.

I watched both episodes with my wife and mother. We all liked the show except for the singing parts. They just didn't do it for us and seemed odd. Other then that It would have done OK IMO.
