I really liked the British version, Blackpool, shown on BBC America a couple of years ago as Viva Blackpool, but I have to say that even the trailer for this new version looks dull. I don't know why they keep trying to remake British series. They never really work. The Office is an exception, but the U.S. show is not much like the original.

What does that mean?????????????

I think this show looks fantastic. I'm basing my opinion on the 10 minute CBS sneak peek a few weeks ago. I've been looking forward to it ever since.

All I have to say is - Does anyone remember "Cop Rock"?

Gay as in "appealing to homosexuals"? That's an outdated stereotype.
Gay as in "incredibly lame"? Probably
Gay as in "happy, in a 1950s sort of way"? Definitely.

Actually, Viva Blackpool is a second series to Blackpool, a continuation.

I used to have a , but damnit do I want a !

reply

It's more complicated than that!
Blackpool was the name of the series in the UK followed by a one-off sequel called Viva Blackpool.
In the US the original series was retitled Viva Blackpool.

reply

8| Why would they do that? WHY? And did they put on both one after the other, or was it just Blackpool alone that was aired with a re-name?

I used to have a , but damnit do I want a !

Too late...The show's has been cancelled by CBS.

The above was the expression on my face when I watched an episode of this disaster. I'm not surprised CBS canceled it; I'm surprised they greenlighted it in the first place.

I am not the biggest Hugh Jackman fan in the world, but I can't help but wonder what he is even doing in this show even for a brief second. If I were him I would be looking around for Ashton Kucher. This show is terrible. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and watched one episode. I was laughlin all the way through. And not in a good way. It's bad enough to have singing in a television show, but to have terrible actors with terrible voices singing over the actual track. Yuck, whoever greenlit this show it either punking all of us, or is terrible at his/her job.

I don't see how this show was listed as Fall's worst new show. That title should have went to Cavemen.Hell it should be listed as worst show EVER.

Do reality shows count? Has anyone seen The Next Great American Band? Damn, it's bad.
