starting in early-mid sept. i start watchin' my staples of the season. i only watch these movies around this time of year, and i'm so glad that its almost finally here once again! usually, in this order, i watch:

pet semetary II
trick or treat 1986
trick or treats 1982- which is terrible!!!
midnight hour 1985
halloween night 1988
night of the demons 1988
night of the demons 2010
-----then when halloween time gets closer, i get serious
halloween 3
halloween 1
halloween 2
halloween: h20
halloween 4
halloween 5
halloween 6 (both theatrical and producers cut)
then i watch a few halloween themed tv episodes:
pete and pete "halloweenie"
tales from the darkside "trick or treat" and "halloween candy"
are you afraid of the dark- tale of the____ (something, monkeys paw? claw?)
witches night out (1970-?)
then whatever other halloween episodes i can get my hands on (full house, rosanne, etc.)
-then back to the last few movies-
jack-o 1995
murder party 2004
satan's little helper 2005
--------------then the last one i watch (this will be the second year)------
trick r' treat 2007 - what a great one THAT is!
so what do you guys watch around that time of year???

I know this will sound way out of left field, but since you mentioned Halloween-themed TV:

The Halloween episode of 'Freaks & Geeks' is one of my all-time favorites. They really nailed the pathetic and humiliated feeling that comes with being egged by older kids while wearing a costume.

And Bill as the Bionic Woman was priceless.

But for non-TV episode Halloween viewing, it's always the Universal classics for me...Frankenstein, Dracula, and Wolfman.

Halloween is by far my favorite holiday and fall is my favorite time of year. We actually celebrate what I call 'The Horrordays' from September 9th until November 9th. During this time we have a bevy of traditions that we uphold which all culminate at our huge Halloween Bash the weekend of or before the actual holiday. The decorations start going up on Friday come to think of it.....
