Murder Party or Hatchet?

Which one do you guys like more? (only for people who have seen both please...)

"Prepare thyself. It's bloodshed time"

Hatchet was stupid. I fell asleep five minutes in. Murder Party was clever and I watched it through to the end.

I implore you to give hatchet another chance. I admit it takes a while to get going (but almost any horror movie does). Once it does though, the deaths are just so spectacular. Just watch the opening scene, then fast forward until the boat crashes, and watch the last 45 mins, its worth it. I mean, even murder party took at least a little bit to get going...

Hands down,, Hatchet.
Murder Party wasn't bad, per se, but it didn't have the budget or talent that Hatchet had.
I wouldn't even compare the two, but since you did I had to cast my vote. =)

i'm a few months late, but i'd have to say Murder Party. Hatchet was too uneven. However, I think The Tripper is better than both movies.

I think Murder Party is easily better than Hatchet. Hatchet had some supa kills but it fell well short of being anything great, also Crowley was disappointing . MP was witty, funny, gruesome and it had a better story.

Vaya Con Dios...

I thought Murder Party was the better film. It was a great witty, smart horror flick.

Super perfundo on the early eve of your day.

I finally saw Hatchet about 2 weeks ago, rented it from family video (after having passed it up at WalMart and Target a few times) and I have to say I'm VERY glad I didn't buy it. Sure it had a few laughs to it, and it was probably better quality at least visually than Murder Party, but it was definitely not as well written.

For pure mayhem fun, I'd have to say Hatchet. Though Murder Party was great too...the "truth or dare" scene kinda slowed down the movie a bit, but given the runtime, I guess some "filler" was needed...but still liked it a lot!

Murder Party 7/10
Hatchet 8/10

Totally different movies. But, I'd have to say I prefer Hatchet just because I love campy slashers.
