Mesmerising

I found it strange that for a movie where very little happened, I just couldn't look away.
Absolutely brilliant.
It really gives you the full feeling of Josies loneliness and you want to be there for him. In almost every shot (even when Josie is with people) you get the full impression of how isolated he really is.
Casting a renowned comedy actor was a master stroke, he instinctively knows what's funny and so can pull it back to melancholy with ease. There were some parts that, taken in isolation, were hilarious (tidying up the rope behind the garage, or cleaning up the cans for example), but he tweaks his comic timing slightly to make them more lonely than funny.
Wonderful!
