This has the best performance of the year
Seriously, it's a great film, but i think more recognition should go to Pat Shortt who is nothing short of brilliant
His performance did break my heart and i think he should win an Oscar (i know he won't)
Yeah, I thought it was an outstanding performance. It shows Shortt is not a one trick pony whatsoever. It makes you think about the true insignificance of the Oscars in reality. I'm sure there were many performances like this around the world which have zero chance of being recognised, when they are just as profound and compelling as those which win the Oscars.
shareHe was absolutely perfect in the role, didn't seem like acting at all. I was really surprised later to learn he's predominantly a comic actor, not a dramatic actor. All the more amazing really.
