Not Your Typical Slasher Film!

I have seen and been in a ton of slasher films and this one was a real treat. Most slasher films don't explore character development or relationship. They just simply leave the viewer trying to guess who is going to be knocked off next. Don't get me wrong, it's truly fun to take that ride, however it's oftentimes shallow without any substance. The Celler Door offers a full course meal! Michelle Tomlinson and James DuMont leave me wanting more of their delicious relationship. It's sick, twisted and a joy to watch.

nope.. this one has no tension OR scary moments.. definitely not like other slasher films.. which Do create tension..

Ahh, now - the end credits were pretty exciting.

I liked it. It showed a more realistic approach to how a seemingly "normal" guy would persue and abduct his victims. He was somewhat obvious, but the pair were oblivious. I think that was the point too. Neither would give him the time of day in real life, so he plucked away the quality of woman he felt he was entitled to. I'm 95% sure they would not have been quite so clothed once captured, however.

The moment where it showed the jars full of you know what, I lost all hope of giving this movie any "well at least you tried" pity.

"C'mawn, fat boy! I'm taking you back to my own private zoo!"
