i agree, the majopr differences being that starshiop troopers was a really good film and lost planet is a really bad video game!

I was thinking the same thing.

and what do you know. Starship troopers is on now uncut (just saw some boobage) on TCM.

The second you said Starship Troopers is a good film, I immediately lost interest in what you were saying. Pardon?

i completely agree that there are some similiarities when you look at the movi & the game but i totally disagree with you , the movie is lame & i think that lost planet is an alright game, sure it could be made better in some areas but still there is some enjoyable gameplay to be had, yet with starship troopers there is just blah with that

Yeah because Starship troopers was the first movie to come out with intergalactic bugs who via swarming methods take out the troops sent to kill them... thank god they had Ripley to.....wait wrong movie.

all of the akrids even look like the bugs from Starship troopers.. the little 3 legged ones? look exactly like those drones from the movie. Green-eye? looks exactly like on of those beeles that fires those flares from the movie.

Half Life 2 also had similar creatures in 2005, I just noticed. (The Antlions)
