I was so hyped to play this game. Now I regret it. It was very dissapointing. The graphics looked to be a few years old, combat wasnt very fun, voice acting was bad, and the A.I. was BAD (the guys politely waited for me to reload before shooting again)

shareall functions with the b button-very helpfull when trying to enter a mech and instead of entering you remove/add its mounted weapons. terribly poor a.i.,tiny levels,repeatitive. all in all an unfinished retro shooter that stinks like a dead horse thats been left in the desert for a week

im not bitching, im making a point about a game and trying to raise debate.god your the most tedious detractor from my initial point in this board.if anyone needs to shut the *beep* up it's you.
I liked this game ... for about the first few days and then it just got so tedious especially the boss battles mainly because once you get nocked down its game over for you because the enemy just waits for the second that you stand up then hits you to the ground again. This is very frustrating.
Then there is the AI it is non-existent honestly the AI is similar to that of just-cause. It can do only two things ... stand still and shoot or run directly into your line of fire and shoot.
Then there is the ridiculous (B) button thing but i think "aznarder" has pretty much covered that far too many times already so i will move on.
The graphics are actually reasonably good in my opinion especially the explosions but of course graphics are not everything.
Voiceovers and sound are about average so no complaints there.
Well all in all i am afraid i am going to have to side with "aznarder" on this one but dont worry i will not just post for the sake of it. I know that its not very nice to come onto a message board and see a load of complaints so i will only post when a complainer needs my support.
PS. My opinion that this game is mostly rubbish is just my opinion and i wish in no way to deny anyone else their own opinion.

thanks bigt2006-i think!?,im glad at least one person has got a grip on what makes a quality game and what doesnt, my point is that if we all do keep quiet about inferior software releases the gaming industry will continue to put out three quarter finished rubbish like lost planet-or the total betrayall of the name tomb raider with games like legend.im glad to have prompted people to talk but am sick of being accused of bitching for merely trying to use the imdb boards for what they are designed for-healkhy debate,some people here cant handle that fact and start detracting credability from a post point and try and belittle that poster by saying they are bitching!
shareyes i do agree that the ai could have been hadled quite a bit better but there are still some good points to this game, i mean i do like the cut scenes, they were done nicely.. i however wih that multiplayer was made available without live which wouldve been quite fun.. i even hear that there could be an adaptation of this game made into a movie

i don't care what you say...i love the game, good gameplay, good story (a li'l short but still good and great enviroments.
as for the mech gettin in/disarming thing...it was never an issue for me, it always worked the way i wanted it too, never had a problem
all in all, great game could be longer but bothin is perfect
