Good Idea, Terrible Execution

the film quality was terrible, half the movie is filming the ground.
the acting was very amateur, like a student film. a good stand out moment of the craptacular acting job is, at one point in the movie, an extremely slow lumbering zombie is closing in on a girl, almost within arms reach, AND SHE DOES NOTHING. SHE DOESNT BACK AWAY, DOESNT RUN, DOESNT TRY TO DEFEND HERSELF. SHE JUST STANDS THERE WAITING FOR THE ZOMBIE TO ATTACK HER.

"better than danny boyle's 28 days later" is a total crap claim, probably made by someone who never even saw 28 days later.

anyway, good concept (blair witch with zombies pretty much) but thats not enough to save the movie.

I think the filmmakers went for the whole 'shaky-cam' concept, to cover up for their lack of skill. That way, when numerous people complained about how the camera spent half the movie focusing on the ground, they would just slouch and say that it was supposed to be that way.
