They didn't even give it a chance!!!

I hate modern television.

If TV execs. had been this ruthless 30 years ago, we wouldn't have most of the classic TV shows that are considered to be among the best shows ever on TV. The executives of today are driven solely by the advertisers, and the advertisers only want shows that are pulling in the highest numbers right from the first episode, which is an incredibly unrealistic expectation... which means most shows end up cancelled-- and long before they could even have any chance of gaining an audience.

Miss Guided was well conceived, well written, well acted... funny, cute, clever... why in the hell would they give it only seven episodes? They should have at least ordered half a second season and tried to actually promote it.

What a disappointment.

wasnt this on during the writer's strike too? that might be wrong, but i mean, come on you cant start a new show then. no one was watching tv shows during that time first of all, and thus no one saw the commercials to promote it either. this was a great show, if they would have premeired it this fall i think it wouldve had a chance.

I agree. This is a funny show and should be on the air.

Well put, eloramoon. I agree with you 100%. I really enjoyed this show and ended up streaming most of the episodes a few times because I found it to be such a light-hearted, witty and amusing program. I loved the relationships between the different characters and incorrectly assumed that the show was definitely going to be back in the fall. Apparently ABC thinks that every show that isn't as big as "Desperate Housewives" (which I do enjoy) deserves to be axed. I am so bummed. This is two years in a row they've disappointed me. Last year it was "What About Brian." This year it's "Miss Guided." Thanks for nothing, ABC.
