Pretty sure Chuck Palahniuk's been there, done that...

in a little book called Survivor?

mind you, he was encouraging people to commmit suicide, not writing their notes.

all the same...

reply

yes. thank you, i was thinking the same thing. great book.

reply

Yeah this pretty much seems like a straight rip, cya at dogmass.

reply

ex-actly what I was thinking.

though at least getting paid to write suicide notes makes more sense than Choke's money-making plotline...

you're all WAAAAAAYYYYYYY off

reply

I thought of that book too when I read the plot info.

Remember, there is no "I" in "Team America".

Funny I just saw this movie today and it never crossed my mind that it was similar to "Survivor" but yeah, when you break down the plot to the one sentence like on this page then it seems like that but seriously, this story is completely original and will not disappoint if it gets a wider release and you're able to see it. Honestly, the best story line is the one with Ray Ramano-- don't let this family man be another reason to scratch this off your list, I've never really liked him and I was beyond impressed and amazed at his ability to do dark humor.

she was good too...whole movie was great!!! almost like an unofficial sequel to American Beauty in style and tone.

Ryder is some kind of fantastic because her character is not cookie cutter. She plays this semi-obsessive, almost stalker-like woman but it's very easy to find her character endearing.
The feminist side of me love that she's not perfect, like so many female characters often are meant to be. And her flaws make her actions more logical which really makes the story better.
The writing for this movie is incredibly smart.

Not at all!!
Palahniuk's plots are nihilistic, The Last Word is uplifting.
