Totally Weird Movie (SPOILERS)

I'm watching this movie right now and it's just all over the place.....

It's like they were going one place with it and just went off track and started going somewhere else....

"Meg's" obsession with the guy she accidentally kills is just STUPID....

Anyone else think this is a strange movie?

reply

I tried watching it and couldn't stay with it, so you're not the only one.

reply

I am watching it now. Meg's obsession is because she never went through it and she is trying to understand what she us feeling. If you accidentally killed someone, how would you handle it?

reply

I don't know why people dislike the film so much. Just seems like those who didn't like it couldn't follow the plot. The acting was actually pretty good and so was the story. If anyone paid attention, it was easy to follow.

reply

You missed the point. It may have been "easy to follow", but it was badly done, meandering, with no cohesiveness. Very poorly done.

There are so many things wrong with this movie it would take all day to list them.
The acting was atrocious by all of the cast and the story was all over the place. It felt like parts were missing or something. Just an all over terrible movie.

I completely agree with you. Now Meg has just killed the second intruder! Thumbs down on this one Lifetime.

reply

It was not that bad! Watchable. Justine Bateman was the best performer.

Yes you are so right it is a strange movie; the freaking man she killed would've killed and/or harmed her in the worst way if she didn't stab him. She was protecting her family - then she starts the obsessing over killing him? Yes you said it right it was just STUPID. I had no remorse for the guy she killed, and don't even get me started on her husband - what a creep ass cheater - he brought these criminals into their home by having an affair w/a "not so bright very much younger girl (woman-whatever)". I also hated how thru the movie he enjoyed getting attention from younger women, glad his wife told him "to stop because its embarrassing" especially for her because the husband was just enjoying all the attention he was getting from these "much younger women".. he even openly flirted w/Meg's friend's daughter by dancing w/her - he was just a lousy piece of *beep* It was at their anniversary party to boot, how DISGUSTING this "conceited ass****" really is.

reply

I do agree with everything you said. One example; there was a character in it names "Erica". Why? Nothing happened with her, she was in one scene, and that was it. Usually characters exist for some reason, but other than to show the husband was attractive to women, she served no purpose.

That was just one of many examples of weird editing and plot devices in the movie.
