poor scene

About halfway in when John's house was destroyed by the tidal wave. Many problems that cannot go undiscussed;
1) When they are on the boat going towards the wave, it changes position every time.
2) No one can drive up the wave like that!!!!
3) The wave is shown to break as they 'ride' it, then not broken a minute later
4) The wave appears to not move at all relative to the police car
5) If it was a tsunami, it wouldn't be a wave, more just a rising wall of water. If it was a tidal wave, it would move at about 500km/h
6) No one would be able to survive that wave. ie the FBI agents. It wouldn't be a matter of drowning, you would be obliterated by it.....like the opening scene shows.

Agreed. I was surprised that they survived considering that the tidal wave was breaking onto their car! The sheer force of it would have killed them instantly instead of getting them wet with a few bruises.

What do you mean 'poor scene'? That was the best scene of the movie! lol.

As soon as I saw these cheesy, 1960's-style "special effects", I rated this movie a "1". The director should have been embarrassed by the horrible effects and the inaccuracy of the science revealed by this travesty. Terrible movie.

1) Hadn't noticed. Is it important?
2) What you mean like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3q9gC8mQNhk&feature=related
3) Again important why?
4) Didn't notice.
5) Not after it hits land it wouldn't.
6) Depends how far they made it inland and how intense the wave was at that point.

Also if you think this film is bad i suggest you check out 'Titanic 2', makes this movie look worthy of a Academy Award!

"Also if you think this film is bad i suggest you check out 'Titanic 2'" -

what a silly 'argument'. This film doesn't stop being dreadful just because you think another film is dreadful too.
