Dissappointed so far

The problem with mini series today is you know that noting dramatic will happen until the end of part one so you get 2 hours of overkill character padding.

Usually I don't mind this in a TV Series but these characters are dull so move the plot along please!!!!

I saw it last week on German TV. It was a pile of crap.

Tom Skerrit had a lot of nice roles the years before, but in this piece of **** he was just awful.

Watching it now. I agree, boring, talk about disasters but not shown. Ho hum, move it, show something!!!

My wife and I thought it was bad enough to be fun.

Our favorite part was the news broadcast at the end. The newscaster calmly reports two large tsunamis off the coast of Boston that cancelled each other out; terrorism was ruled out. Then -- she really says this -- "in other news..."

In other news?! Maybe these two tsunamis deserve a little more coverage, especially since two "killer waves" had just wiped out other coastal towns!

I'm watching it right now on TV in Brooklyn and right from the start I knew it was gonna be tedious!
It hasn't gotten any better. The acting is pretty bad and if it's possible, the cinematography is worse. The Stanley character is particularly annoying in the beginning. The over-use of close-ups and the choppy editing style makes it all the more unpalatable. The footage of the large ship taking the wave was very reminiscent of The Perfect Storm, I agree. They also used tons of footage from the flood in New Orleans. Near the beginning they even feature the shot of the guy with his floating wife and beer on one of the big screens. The plot and almost all situations are predictable and thin. I also agree that there's way too much talking. Not a fan! XD

Well I hated the ending

Will we ever get the Wonder Years on DVD!!

I'm in Australia and we've got the two parts back to back. So it's just like a 3 and 50min movie.
It's screening as I speak on channel 7.
It's okay, however it could be better.

House: No, I'm just kvelling, our little girl is growing up

I agree, they've been killing all these tele-movies lately I reckon, with Killer Wave, the one where they created a system to shield off cyclones...sorry, HURRICANES and the British one where the River Timms is flooded by a tidal wave (I actually enjoyed that one.)

I agree Channel 7 blew it .... instead of showing the repeat of Ghost Wisperer they could have had it on earlier and THEN had the repeat ...... it went too late.
I'm glad the DVD is here now ...... It's about time.
