A Very Enjoyable Movie (spoilers)

I liked the movie alot except for two things:

1. The beginning where Sissy Spacek was in the grocery store and was very upset when a woman was having a seizure. This didn't have anything to do with the movie and had my thoughts going off on a tangent, such as: did someone she love have epilepsy, etc. I was thinking if that was that the movie was about, but it wasn't, so it was extraneous scene that didn't serve the movie.

2. Also in the beginning, Billy (Troy Garity) was being beat up and blamed for the whereabouts of Faith. It turns out that Faith and Billy weren't close. He didn't even know that the boy was his son until the beginning of the movie. However, the drug dealers were holding Billy responsible for Faith stealing their drugs, dugs that Billy didn't even know about. The connection between Billy, Faith and the drugs should have somehow been tied together in the beginning of the movie if the drug dealers were going to hold Billy responsible.

Other than that, I thought that the acting and the rest of the movie was very good and I especially liked the ending.

I think you mean HOPE instead of Faith for the name of Drea de Matteo's character. Her name was Hope.

I didn't understand the grocery store epilepsy scene either, unless it was just to demonstrate running into her deceased son's now grown friend. Still, the seizure part doesn't really fit, I agree.

I liked this movie too. Very good acting, and it's always nice to see Keith Carradine. These are characters you wish you knew more about.

I enjoyed this film and the acting was superb...the little boy was quite good. It's a shame it didn't get more attention.
