is there going to be a season 2?

Oh i hope so

I read on the Wikipedia page that the company that produces Lockie Leonard will start making a second season in 2009 to start airing late 2009/early 2010. I know Wikipedia isn't the the most trusty resource but it could still be true. I hope they make a second season, although 2009/2010 seems a bit far away.

Yes, according to the production company, it is being filmed right now, and will be screened on Ch.9 next year.

Lockie comes to the States on Disney XD, starting on June 22, 2010.

They're showing a lot of it too.

I'd never heard of it before, and almost dismissed it as typical Disney California surfer dude claptrap but gave it a try anyhow.

It didn't take five minutes into the first episode to know it wasn't Disney. Sarge has a visible tattoo! If this were a Disney production, he'd be wearing long sleeves on the beach to hide it like Billy Ray Cyrus in Hannah Montana.

I've seen every episode they've aired so far, and look forward to the rest of the series. An intelligent show with a surfer is pretty much unheard of in the States.
