Hard to root for her :( (Spoilers)

I really don't mean to diss the seriousness or minimize the affects of schizophrenia, but IMO, she was too out-of-control-mentally-ill for far too long in this movie. I lost all patience with it clear up until the last 20 minutes when it finally got good! Not fair to the viewer to have to put up with her constant crying and psychotic episodes for that long. A viewer then isn't going to buy her (1) being in medical school, (2) working that productively in a medical facility, (3) having any sane boyfriend stick with her during all those episodes (though his character was questionable with all the stalking he did of her early on) and (4) being believed of her suspicions. What I wish for this story is that she could have gotten her illness more under control earlier and I wish this movie would have leaned more toward being a thriller and her being more proactive than a schizophrenic victim trying to push beyond her obvious limits and failing miserably for much of the movie. Bottom line: too much crying and too many psychotic episodes for too long to really root for her until it was just too late. I wanted them to lock her up and get her more help! :( That said, the final 20 minutes saved it for me.
