I love everything I have seen Daniel Day Lewis in. Only four movies My Left foot,In the name of the father,Gangs of new york and There will be blood. I noticed this movie isnt up to par with the ones I watched according to the critics and imdb. If you think this movie sucks do you think DDL still delivered? Thanks.

shareJust watched it for that very reason. He is great in it as expected, and it good to see him for once looking as good on screen as he does off. Unfortunately despite good performances the film is an absolute mess. Looks pretty though.

He captured very well Guido's personality of a man who attracted every woman on his way but still felt he was frustrated for his lack of inspiration for his next film.
Daniel Day Lewis is a very charming and charismatic actor so it's always a pleasure to see him on screen.
The only weak side of his performance was his singing, he wasn't pierce Brosnan bad if you know what I mean but compared to his female co stars his singing skills were the worst.
He's a great actor indeed but this was not one of his better performances.
His singing is atrocious in this movie.
