Why? It is easy to come on a board and repeat the word dull. You made a general comment about American shows being badly written and acted.
For me, this show was a nice change from the usual police procedural format. A police officer found guilty of murdering his best friend and wife is sent to prison and spends 12 years getting beat up until new evidence proves his innocence. The state give him a boatload of money, but as part of the reparation, they must allow him to work as a policeman again. They bump him to detective and put him in homicide and give him a troubled partner who is trying to get into the boss's good graces by "spying" on the guy. He is NOT supposed to try to work on "his" case and try to find the real murderer. Oh, and he's found zen and is obsessed with fresh fruit since he never got any in prison.
He finds that he was railroaded into prison by his brothers in blue who are dirty.
Now: you have Damien Lewis who is perfectly crazy/sane in the role. Sarah Sashi breathes life into Danni Reese. The captain seems shady then not shady and then shady again.
So, what exactly did you not like?? The humor? The violence in prison? The flashbacks as a way to tell the story? The fact that the viewer had to really pay attention??
What part was dull?
