"One of Sorrow" sadisic and mean don't watch

Could not finish watching it. In episode I don't know if it was part 1 or 2 Hathaway is watching (evidence?) a movie of a man sitting in a chair tied up being beaten with a bat by a man with his face covered. This cut from the movie was long and intense. This supposedly is part of their investigation. This is not a crime, mystery, investigation this is sadistic and putting viewers through it is not right. Even if it was fake it was sickening.

It's alright to me.

First all -- this is what investigations entails, sometimes having to view difficult and unsavory evidence. It's part of the job.
Moreover, there are a lot more scenes in other programs and movies that much more grotesquely violent than this scene.

This is one of my least favorite episodes. Not only was the beating horrific, I didn't like the creepy taxidermy, either.

There was another episode, worse than this, which made me not watch any more of them ever again. Even though I loved Endeavour and Morse. I don't want to see invented forms of torture and killing that no one would ever even imagine doing. It's the writer, and so I won't watch this series.
