saw the first episode....pretty good but should i watch this series

so i've heard this was a good show, i just got started on it (borrowed vol 1 from a friend.) i've only seen the first episode, which i thought was a little choppy. but it seems like a promising show.

another issue im having though is i dunno whether or not i should watch this in english or japanese. i watched the 1st episode in english, i don't remember really being impressed by any of the voices. it seems as if the japanese version flowed better.

so does the english track get better or should i go with the subbed version on this one? thanks in advance.

The show gets better, the first few episodes just set everything up is all. The voice actors also get better and I prefer them over the original dub but that's just me.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to watch volume 1 in English. From volume 2 onwards, the dubbing is every bit as good as the original japanese (although, frankly, if you get used to one it's hard to listen to the other).

I certainly recommend that you watch a few more episodes; it may not be your thing, but it certainly deserves a shot.

I'm at episode 9 now of the first series, and I am enjoying it a lot.

And the silence is numb...what have we become?

yea i actually just got finished watching volume 1. and i am very impressed by it. this is just one of "those" shows that makes you feel great when you watch it.

i now want to buy volume 2! belldandy is very cute. and the episode where Keiichi tried to confess his feelings had me in stitches. great anime so far.

btw im watching it in japanese. I watched the first 5 episodes in both languages and I've decided that I really don't like Keichii's English voice or his dialogue. But that's just me.

As a manga/anime enthusiast, I recommend you read the manga source material first before you watch the series. You can read the entire manga on the internet. Here is a link if you want it. You can start from this point.
