Monica gives an AWFUL performance

Not that any acting in this movie was even halfway decent, but Monica was just awful. I'm surprised because she was great as Abby in Dawson;s Creek and more recently in Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, but her acting is so false and forced. Granted, this wasn't a great script to begin with, but not even the lesser known actors gave better performances.

Also, the horrendous plastic surgery chop job she did on herself is distracting. I'm usually a big Monica fan but she can barely speak out of that puffy face correctly at times. What a shame.

I am very forgiving when it comes to these made for tv, Christmas movies, but Monica's acting was so bad. It was just painful.

It's probably just the script if you think she's good in other roles then ! I've never seen her in anything else so I don't know personally.

That's like how Ashton Kutcher was great as Michael Kelso in "That 70's Show" but horrible as Walden Schmitt in "Two and a Half Men". The role just doesn't fit him so if that's the only thing you saw of his you would probably think it was atrocious.

That being said, I don't think her acting was that horrible for a made for tv movie. I've definitely seen worse. But it's certainly not winning her any Oscars.

I love her performance in this. It's so bad... Hilarious. I watch it once a year just to get a few laughs.
