This must be a joke...

Just bought Half Past Dead today... and then I see this?

reply

No Its not a joke this well be a very good movie.

reply

Oh, I have no doubt it will be good (Read: entertaining B-grade shlock, the best type of movie). But to make a sequel to a Seagal film without any of the characters that made the original good is not a wise move.

reply

first, Seagal needs to sign on, then we wrapped cuz we got Kurupt & RULE back on the project...

reply

wares steven in this film he was in the first why not this

reply

Steven Seagal isn't in this because he's either shooting in Eastern Europe or hanging out at Dunkin' Donuts.

reply

lol

reply

The original was absolutely awful, and Art Camacho is a terrible director so I've no doubt that this is going to suck also.

reply

If it were Half Past Dead, and now this is Half Past Dead 2 - would that mean that It's Full past Dead (ie: you're dead)? I'm confused?

reply

Put Seagal in the movie, or else it gonna suck..

reply

^Uh yeah because he was in the first and it was wondeful.

Who says violence is not the answer?

reply

it'd suck anyway

i'm tired of people telling me not to take the movie so seriously so don't do it

reply

Put Seagal in the movie, or else it gonna suck..

I'm going to watch this one, just because seagull isn't in it.

reply

This movie didn't suck at all. Goldberg was better in this than Santa's Slay.

reply

I agree 100%,

you can't have too high of an expectation for this because its a B-MOVIE. so obviiously its not golden globe worthy. but you shouldn't have too low of an expectation either, because for the low budget and the straight to shelves thingy, its really good. Personally, I think putting Segal in it would of KILLED the movie
if he was in it. I dont think in the past 3 years, he's been in a movie that:
1.he hasnt mumbled so much to the point where you just shut the movie off
2.his fat self hasn't totally made a fool of himself by trying to do martial arts
and 3. that someone close to him has been kidnapped and he has to go on a wild goose chase, and winds up in asia fighting with a gang, or samurai, or ninjas, or the government. So no Segal is a good choice.
Kurupts HILARIOUS, and goldberg did a solid job as the big tough guy thats invincible. The only criticism i give this is when Goldberg gets shot in the stomach and somehow is able to function well enough to beat the *beep* outta that bad guy. watch resevoir dogs, and you'll see what really happens whet you get shot in the stomach. haha. but besides that one flaw. id have to say that this is easily one of the best B-movies ive ever seen.

reply

I think you mean, put seagal in a movie and it's guna suck.

How can anyone like him? He has this perpetual wierd face, looking like he just got some lemon juice streight to the eyeball.

reply

It do

reply

I donĀ“t get it. Is this supposed to be funny, serious, both? Why was it made.
What a BAAAAAD movie!

If it harms none, do what thou wilt.

I just seen this.... wow. Get some beer, get drunk, and then watch this movie. I am sad to say this makes the first one look like a gem. Kurpt is quite possibly one of the worst actors ever and them trying to tie the first movie and this movie together was just dumb. I wish owe boll would have directed this one... it would have make so much sense why it was terrible.

reply

Ok anyone who says Seagal is good hasn't been watching his movies for the last 6 years. The last one I saw Seagal do that was anygood was Exit Wounds. All he cares about now is the buck and where his next meal is coming from. GUYS HIS MOVIES ARE IN THE TOILET!! As for good rap actors lol ya they are pretty rare. Although I must say I have been impressed with DMX. Rappers tend to go way over board with their acting kinda like most of the music so who can blame 'em? But gawd almighty guys quit making those sick cheap low budget ass westerns before I puke. What the F@%k is with the rappers and westerns? Did they get hooked on Posse growin up?

frostbite you r an idiot. its people like you that give rappers the idea that they can act. i think you need a brain examination. DMX is a complete trash actor if you want to call him an actor. whoever directed this trash needs to be shot

"whoever directed this trash needs to be shot"
If you , and I mean "you" got a Mac 10 and shot everyone in this movie, and everyone on the set including everone in the building from the grips to the directors, and with luck the producers...then you might have the makings of a good movie, that is considering that YOU can act...'cause noboby in this movie could.
The good news: I put this in my player as I was going to sleep
The bad news: It kept me awake, shakin my head, for the entire movie. What a waste of good sleep time. You can actually see Kurupt and Goldberg looking at the tele-prompters to read their next line, and getting mixed up sometimes and re-reading the line they just read. It was so bad it was mesmerizing. As my eyes clamoured desperately to close and let me sleep, the same thought kept ringing through my head...."NO...please, no..no more....no..you didn't actually record this on film..no ...help...please let me sleep..."
At least a joke has humour.

Watched this movie last night.

Only hired it because i am a fan of Bill Goldberg and wanted to check out his acting.

I was pleasantly suprized. It being a B movie, which i dont mind, i do like B films but this was good. I like the story line - that fact that it was an action film with a plot was nice. Kurupt was funny as, he was great with Bill Goldberg's character.

I was so happy to see that Bill Goldberg can actually act. Like i say this is the first film ive seen him in (ive seen and love the longest yard but this is a different type of acting). I think with a couple more films under his belt and experience, Bill Goldberg will be quite the actor.
I like how he speared the guy! whoot!

But i hate it when they have people like bill goldberg who is known mainly from his wreslting career and all they do with them is put them in action films to bash other people up. Sure, bill did some rather a lot of bashing in this but he did have a lot of serious scenes too. He is suprisingly good at the tender scenes, ie.with the ones with Burke and his daughter...his eyes are really soft and its almost as if he can instantly shed the 'tough guy' image...which this image only came into play when needed.

It was cute and a pleasure to see Wanda Goldberg in this film too. Its the first thing i have seen of hers and cute, like i say, to have a husband and wife in the same film.

But yeah, i really liked this film and really enjoyed Bill Goldberg's acting. He's a well rounded talent.

Great Film.

@ musicals_liveon,
I agree, i was really surprised!!! It's way better than the first movie. Action is believable, story more believable too. Kurupt acting is way better than Ja Rule & funnier. And although I'm a Steven Seagal fan I have to admit Goldberg was better than him.

Actually The first part feels like a direct-to-DVD movie while the second was well done. LoL
