Why all the bad reviews????

I saw this at a local film festival (Discovery Film Festival at the DCA in Dundee, Scotland) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The festival showed many foreign films, and this had to be one of the most enjoyable (my other favourite being Nocturna, a spanish made animation) -and I didn't expect it to be very good to be honest.
I thought the acting was very good, and I don't know much about the countries where they were, but I enjoyed the story line, and felt for the brothers. I would love to get this film on DVD, though I'm not sure if it will be released. I anyone knows, can they reply to this please?
I also saw Slumdog Millionaire last night, which was a very good film, despite all the complaints posted on the board.
