why do they speak in english
i'm just wondering why they talk in english so much, sometimes for full sentences, instead of their home dialect.

shareYeah, they all speak different dialects so English is a common and actually official language of India. There are Indians who speak Indian English at home as a first language. Also, as the above poster said most middle class people in India code switch and use lots of English words and phrases.
shareYeah I think it's called Hinglish over there. Because the British were there for so long. Like here in the the US southwest where there are a lot of Spanish speakers so we have Spanglish.
