What happened to Rob's daughter?

I kept thinking "surely they're not going to set this up and then never show the meeting between her and Tina Fey's character"...but then I never saw it happened. When I looked it up, though, Alice Kremelberg is listed as playing the part. I scanned back through the movie and didn't see her--WTF?

He just mentions his daughter, who he has visitation rights with. It isn't that his daughter lives with him. I'm sure he eventually introduced Kate to her but we don't see that because it isn't an integral part of the story.

I disagree about what should have been an integral part of the story; but more to the point, why is Alice Kremelberg credited as "Rob's Daughter"? Go look at the credits for yourself. There are also photos of her at the "Baby Mama" premiere.

Deleted scene?

I think "Captain Planet" is something that should be mandatory to watch nowadays.

Team Jacob!

reply

That's what I figured, but it wasn't on the Blu ray, and I can't find any mention of it online. Seems strange that she would still go to the premiere.

reply

She was shown in the alternate ending.

reply

Huh, I didn't see that on the disc. What happened in that ending?

"Baby Mama" Alternate Ending:

Shortly after finding out she is pregnant, Angie is notified by an agency that she has been selected as an adoptive mother & passes out in the hospital when it is implied (we don't actually hear the voice on the other end of the phone) that the child is practically waiting for her.

Movie jumps ahead a handful of months (I can't remember exactly how many or if it even says, but anyway...) Angie is talking to the camera, explaining all the ways in which her life has changed, going from a high-level executive to the mother of 2 tiny, tiny babies as well as a teenage stepdaughter. It's here that she's actually in the movie...or, you know, would have been. :)

Thanks! But wait: you mean Kate, not Angie--right?

D'oh!

I did indeed mean Kate. Sorry about being confusing, man.

(And for the record, yes: I did almost type "Angie" again just now.

I SWEAR I WATCHED THIS MOVIE!) :D

Another thing I wondered about is why Tina didn't bring Amy to his juice shop, since he desperately needed more business and Amy needed a healthier diet for the pregnancy. Whenever a new restaurant opens in my neighborhood I go out of my way to patronize them whenever possible. (Loved all the Jamba Juice jokes.)

Good point.

The Jamba Juice jokes were placement ads.
