bland. there was just no story. no climax. it was just so middle of the road.

The cast was good, but the movie was boring. I think the problem was the script.

If you didn't like it, ok. If you thought it was bland, ok. If you thought it was middle of the road, ok. If you thought it was mild, ok. In fact I sometimes prefer mild movies to relax.
But "no story," "no climax?" Wow, I don't see that at all. The story was obvious, Kate wanted a baby and thought she couldn't have one, so she got someone else to carry the baby. The climax was when she found out she was pregnant. You don't count that as a climax? If you don't like the story or the climax, ok, but to say there wasn't any, none, no story, no climax...well...if this was said by anyone else but you, it would make me wonder if that person even saw the movie.
it was pretty predictable. when i watched it i was like "ok, 45 minutes in, we should be getting to the part where they stop hating each other and start to bond and...oh here it is right on cue." not a terrible movie but not good either. imho
