No Full Series DVD Release - Only A Measly FOUR Episodes!

Apparently MGM has decided NOT to release all 13 half-hour episodes in a "The Complete Series" box, instead choosing to bilk us fans by releasing only FOUR episodes at the inflated price of $20! Here's the relevant portion of the press release that TVShowsOnDVD.com just posted:

This is one of the stupidest decisions EVER! The series only had a mere 13 half-hour episodes. They could easily put the whole series on two DVDs, even including these new "intermissions", for which $20 would be a fair price. Yet they're choosing to put only 1/3 of the series on one disc for that price. If they were to release the other nine episodes this way, it would cost $60 for just 13 episodes.

I was all ready to buy this set, but if it's not the whole series for that price, they can forget about it.

I agree, if they're releasing 4 episodes, why not the rest? Maybe they want to see how the DVD sells and they can decide to release the rest of them. Maybe not.

Oh well...at least every episode is available in different segments on Youtube! {Note: Each one has a total of 3 parts}. I'll watch them there for now...

this is the same way they release "family guy". not the whole season, just a little bit of it. poor mel brooks knows that he became an epic fail after this movie, so hes just trying 2 get more cash

Ya i got ripped off for this , i saw it for 5 bucks & bought it thinking it was a movie not knowing that it had 4 random episodes. I dont even want to bother watching them if they are out of order whats the point. I hate when studios sell a couple eps of a series , biggest skam especially when the season has 13 eps.

Weird and perplexing. I guess this is a way to build anticipation to try...?
