A little confusion regarding the progression from the hospital scene to the pier scene at the end. Anyone care to explain?
I comprehend everything except that transition. I know that everything Jung-won informed the detective of was misconstrued. Thus if everything after the scene with the detective rushing away to capture the shy-boy is supposed to be reality, how did Jung-won get the teacher from the hospital to the pier?
I found it hard to follow also. I appreciate the twist and the effort, but maybe the subtitles were too much for me.

I was just wondering the exact same thing. The progression of the scenes made me think she took Mrs. Park to the pier directly after the party...but then who is telling the story to the cop? I see she is wearing a different outfit, but it's just a tank top that could have been worn under her dress.
shareWhen Jung-Won/Mi-Ja finished her story, the police all left the hospital to go find Jung-Won (since the cops didn't know that's who they were talking to the whole time). While they were at her house, piecing together what actually happened, they get a call from the hospital, telling them that Mrs. Park and the girl had both disappeared. Maybe it's a little unrealistic that the teacher just happened to wake up during that time and that Jung-Won could have snuck her out of the hospital unnoticed, but nobody suspected her at the time. So the scene on the pier is chronologically the last scene in the film, occurring after the interview.
